Is it how it's supposed to work
« on: August 04, 2021, 09:20:10 AM »
Hello
I've been playing around with my newly built pistompcore and so far I was just using the web UI and everything works nicely.
However, the lcd doesn't get updated when using the web UI.
When using the encoder and screen, the web UI doesn't get update.
It sould be in sync but it's not, any clues?

thx

Glad most things are working well for ya.

You found another known issue explained at the bottom of the usage page:
https://www.treefallsound.com/wiki/doku.php?id=pi-stomp_core#pi-stomp_usage

When using the MOD UI, it's best just to manage pedalboards, presets, etc. from there, not the hardware.  Once you save the pedalboard, you can sync the hardware:
Long-press the encoder until the System Menu shows.  Then select "Soft restart & reload".

There's a bug in the MOD software that doesn't update the pedalboard name shown when the pedalboard is changed via API (which the pi-Stomp hardware uses).  I'm hoping that changes with new MOD software revisions.  Worst case, might need to apply a hack.
