No sound channel 2

While I'm debugging the Aurdino MIDI device, I noticed another quirk.

When I have a mono in and a mono out plus connected, I can get sound.  However, when I have mono in and a TRS with left and right outputs, I don't get sound out of either channel.

I am using a simple MOD board with just the interests connected to the outs (and crossed and connected to both to test).  However I have this same problems with ay pedalboard.

Any suggestions?

If everything is connected in MOD, then I'd suspect the jumper wiring or the solder joints associated with that path.

Could alternatively be a ALSA config setting, but unlikely unless you were mucking with alsamixer, etc.  Have you?  If so, I could tell you what to check there.  Don't remember off hand.

From your description, it looks like you did try connecting input1 to both outputs in MOD right?

If that doesn't result in signal from output2, then you've narrowed the problem to the output path.  I'd verify with an ohm meter that both headers on either end of that short output jumper have continuity.  It'll be the lead marked "R" for "right" since that's the second channel.

If that checks, I'd do something similar to check the continuity from the Ring connector of the jack to the "R" pin of the pi-Stomp output header.

No, I definitely didn't mess with the alsamixer.

Using MOD I connected the input to both outputs.  No sound.

I get sound out of mono in to mono out.  But mono in to TRS out I get no sound out of either channel.

I'm pretty good at building stuff, but even an old hand like me can make a bad solder joint!  I'll go check everything.
